If you look closely at the pictures above, you'll notice that our cabinets don't contact the floor. We do that for a reason. Inferior cabinets are built on a base that sits on the floor. That's because inferior cabinets aren't built with a full, reinforced back, so the floor provides the support of the cabinet. Two things happen when wooden cabinets are in contact with a concrete floor; #1, if the floor ever gets wet from rain water dripping from your car or from washing the garage floor, your cabinets will soak up water and swell, resulting in damage. #2, any gaps or joints that aren't perfectly sealed, will provide access for crickets, scorpions and spiders to make their homes under your cabinets.

By raising the cabinets off the floor, those problems go away. And, garage clean-up is a breeze with a leaf blower or mop.
